VISIT the impressive former missile base at Stupišće near Komiža—a massive land-sea missile complex featuring an extensive network of tunnels and bunkers, once on high alert for potential invasions.

LEARN why over 30 military structures were built across the island, how the local population lived during this time, and why Vis remained closed to foreign visitors until 1989.
