What to expect:

Departing from either Komiža or Vis Town, our tour includes a visit to the former military base Parja, where we will explore underground tunnels built during the Cold war, as well as the impressive boat shelter tunnel known as “Jastog” (Lobster). Next, we’ll visit the sprawling 19th-century Fort George, named after British King George III. This is one of the fortifications built by the British Royal Navy following their 1811 victory in the Battle of Vis.

After enjoying a stunning panoramic view, we’ll continue our scenic ride through the island’s interior, stopping at the former RAF (Royal Air Force) airport. We then ascend to Hum Peak (587 m), the highest point on Vis island, where we’ll take in breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding archipelago and the town of Komiža. On our way back, an optional stop includes a climb to Tito’s cave, a historic hideout that played a key role during World War II. Return back to Vis or Komiza.
