What to expect

The island of Biševo is located five nautical miles from the town of Komiža (on Vis island), and is best known for its rare natural phenomenon, the Blue cave. Departing from Komiža town, enjoy a 20-minute speedboat ride to Biševo Island. Upon arrival at Mezoporat bay, you’ll transfer to a small wooden boat operated by the official concessionaire.

Since the Blue cave’s entrance is quite small, you’ll need to crouch in the center of the boat while the skipper skillfully navigates inside the Blue cave…

Once inside, be mesmerized by the Blue cave’s breathtaking silver-blue glow, a natural phenomenon created by sunlight reflecting off the seabed. After visiting Blue cave , brief stay in Mezoporat bay and return to Komiža. In the high season departures are organized from 8 am. Last boat to Blue cave is at 3 pm. The total tour duration is approximately 1.5 hours.
