DAY BY DAY ITINERARY:
DAY 1. WELCOME TO VIS ISLAND!
Upon arrival at Vis ferry port, you’ll be transferred to your accommodation in Komiža town. After settling in, we’ll take a short city walk and provide a full program briefing.
DAY 2. BISEVO ISLAND SEA KAYAKING
Today, we will circumnavigate amazing coastline of Bisevo island. Transfer by speed boat to Biševo island (20 minutes ride). From Mezuporat Bay, we paddle toward the Monk seal cave, the longest semi-submerged cave in the Adriatic, stretching an impressive 160 meters. Entering through its magnificent 27-meter-high entrance, we’ll explore this hidden sanctuary that once provided refuge to the endangered Mediterranean monk seal (Monachus monachus).
Leaving the cave behind, we continue our journey along Biševo’s dramatic coastline, discovering hidden sea caves, towering cliffs, and striking rock formations sculpted by nature over millennia. Our next stop is Porat bay, where we take a well-deserved break on its idyllic sandy beach, nestled along the island’s wild western shores. After recharging and lunch, we paddle toward the northwestern edge of the island. In the afternoon, we return to Komiža by boat.
HIGHLIGHTS: MONK SEAL CAVE, PORAT BAY
DAY 3. KOMIZA-SOUTH PART OF VIS ISLAND
We will paddle eastward from Komiža, enjoying some of the most breathtaking cliffs, coves, and beaches, sculpted by the open sea over thousands of years.
One of the highlights is Stiniva bay- the most beautiful and attractive bay of Vis island. Stiniva was formed a long time ago when a ceiling of a huge cave collapsed, forming Stiniva bay and two huge cliffs that enclose the cove and form its entrance, once used to be the entrance to the cave. Stiniva bay has been protected since 1967.
Here, you’ll have time to relax and swim in the crystal-clear waters before we continue paddling toward Ruda Bay and Silver Beach. The southern coast of Vis Island is primarily composed of seashell limestone, and what makes Ruda Bay truly unique is its high concentration of marine fossils, offering a glimpse into the island’s ancient past. We will finish our adventure in Rukavac Bay, where a transfer will take us back to Komiža.
HIGHLIGHTS: GAĆE CAVE, STINIVA BAY, RUDA BAY, SILVER BEACH
DAY 4. RUKAVAC BAY – VIS TOWN
Our journey begins with a transfer from Komiža to Rukavac bay, where we set off on our kayaking adventure toward Ravnik Island. This island is a protected significant landscape, best known for its stunning Green cave, which has been safeguarded as a geomorphological natural monument since 1967. We will paddle into the Green cave, where sunlight streams through an opening, illuminating the sea with a mesmerizing shaft of green light.
From the cave, we continue paddling to Budihovac Island, where we’ll take a break to swim and snorkel in the turquoise waters of its protected lagoon.
As we make our way toward Vis town, we’ll paddle across the open sea, passing numerous small reefs and the picturesque Stončica bay, home to a charming lighthouse. We finish our adventure in Vis Town, where a transfer will take us back to Komiža.
HIGHLIGHTS: GREEN CAVE, BUDIHOVAC ISLET, STONCICA BAY
DAY 5. VIS -KOMIZA
Today, we will paddle from Vis to Komiža, following the breathtaking northern coast of the island. Along the way, we’ll encounter stunning vertical cliffs, a submarine tunnel, where we’ll have the unique opportunity to paddle inside, as well as hidden bays and the small islets of Barjaci.
With a bit of luck, we might even spot Eleonora’s falcon, a rare and significant species in Croatia, found mainly on the open-sea islands. We will also pass by the remains of Manjarema Fort, a historical landmark, before concluding our kayaking journey in Komiža Town.
HIGHLIGHTS: SUBMARINE TUNNEL, ZUKAMICE BEACH, ISLETS BARJACI
