GAJETA ABROAD

Croatia was represented at the world expo EXPO 98 in Lisbon with the reconstruction project of the first replica of Comeza-Lisboa, the first gajeta falkuša. Among numerous international maritime festivals in which falkuša has participated, the most prominent were Fête internationale de la mer et des marins in Brest, Regatta storica (Historical Regatta) in Venice and Scandinavian festival Landsstevnet in Oslo in 2014 .In 2017 falkušas participated in boat festival, Navalis 2017, on the river Vltava in Prague. In 2024 we participated in Maritime traditions festival Escale à Sète.

Numerous documentaries have been made about the Gajeta Falkuša and its crew, including notable ones such as: “Three Men in Another Boat” (BBC2), M. SALETO – HRT “Falkuša to Palagruža”, TV ARTE – a film about the Falkuša for the German TV channel, M. ČAPIN – HRT “The Third Falkuša”, TV FRANCE 3 – “Guardians of Adriatic Cultural Heritage”, and 24FPS PRODUCTIONS – an American TV production company filming a documentary about the Rota Palagruzona. In 2022, the gajeta falkuša Palagruza and its crew participated in the filming of the global hit series Vikings: Valhalla.
