What to expect
Departing from Komiža town, enjoy a 15-minute speedboat ride to Biševo Island. Upon arrival at Mezoporat bay, you’ll transfer to a small wooden boat operated by the official concessionaire.
As you approach the Blue cave, prepare for an exciting entry—since the Blue cave’s entrance is quite small, you’ll need to crouch in the center of the boat while the skipper skillfully navigates inside. Once inside, be mesmerized by the Blue cave’s breathtaking silver-blue glow, a natural phenomenon created by sunlight reflecting off the seabed.

After visiting Blue cave enjoy a 10-minute boat ride to the Monk seal cave, once home to the rare Mediterranean monk seal. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to swim inside this extraordinary cave and experience its mysterious beauty. From there, we’ll head to Porat Bay, a secluded gem on the island’s west coast.
Take a 1 to 1.5-hour break to swim in the crystal-clear waters, sunbathe on the golden sands, or relax in the shade of pine trees. Our journey continues to the northwestern edge of Biševo Island, where we will witness the stone ‘book’ of Biševo—a fascinating natural phenomenon shaped by the violent dynamics of the Earth’s crust.
